Medical City Healthcare seeks an RN Bone Marrow Transplant nurse to deliver advanced, evidence-based care to immunocompromised oncology patients in our specialized BMT unit. The RN manages complex transplant regimens, including chemotherapy, stem cell infusions, central line care, and blood product administration, while closely monitoring for complications such as infection and graft-versus-host disease. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary transplant team, educates patients and families, ensures meticulous documentation, and upholds rigorous infection control standards to promote optimal outcomes and safe recovery. Provide direct nursing care to adult bone marrow transplant patients across pre-, peri-, and post-transplant phases Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications per transplant protocols Continuously monitor and assess patients, recognizing and responding to complications such as GVHD, infection, and organ toxicity Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, pharmacists, and transplant coordinators Educate patients and families on treatment plans, infection prevention, and post-discharge care Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and comply with transplant unit policies and regulatory standards Follow strict infection control and isolation procedures to protect immunocompromised patients Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit-based councils Precept and mentor new nurses and support staff as assigned Collaborate in discharge planning and transition of care to outpatient transplant/oncology services Bone marrow transplant nursing Oncology nursing Chemotherapy administration Central line management Blood product administration Infection control and isolation protocols Patient and family education Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Hemodynamic and lab monitoring Oncologic emergency recognition and response Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in state of practice BSN preferred Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (e.g., ONS) preferred or obtained within 1 year BLS and ACLS certifications ONC or BMTCN certification preferred 1–3 years acute care RN experience; oncology/BMT experience strongly preferred
