Medical City Healthcare seeks a skilled RN Bone Marrow Transplant nurse to deliver expert care to high-acuity hematology/oncology patients undergoing transplant. In this on-site role, you will administer chemotherapy, blood products, and complex therapies while closely monitoring for complications in immunosuppressed patients. You’ll educate patients and families, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold rigorous infection-control standards. Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to bone marrow transplant patients across the continuum of care
Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies per transplant protocols and physician orders
Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status, responding rapidly to complications and adverse reactions
Educate patients and families on transplant process, medications, infection prevention, and post-discharge care
Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary team to individualize care plans
Maintain strict infection control, central line care, and isolation precautions in a high-acuity setting
Manage complex medications, including high-risk drugs, titrated infusions, and immunosuppressants
Use EHR systems accurately for orders, documentation, and care coordination
Precept and mentor new nurses, supporting a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence
Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice projects on the unit
