Description

Medical City Healthcare seeks an RN Bone Marrow Transplant nurse to deliver expert care to high-acuity oncology patients throughout the transplant journey. In this on-site role, you’ll administer chemotherapy, manage central lines, enforce strict infection control, and monitor complex clinical conditions. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and follow transplant protocols and clinical pathways. Ideal candidates have oncology or BMT experience, strong critical thinking, and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
Provide direct nursing care to bone marrow transplant patients across pre-, peri-, and post-transplant phases
Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies per physician orders and protocols
Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status, responding rapidly to complications or adverse events
Manage central lines, infusions, and strict infection-control procedures in a high-acuity setting
Educate patients and families on transplant process, medications, side effects, and home care requirements
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams on individualized care plans
Follow clinical pathways, transplant protocols, and regulatory standards to ensure quality and safety
Support clinical trials and data collection related to transplant outcomes as assigned
Precept and mentor new nurses, sharing best practices in oncology and transplant care
Use EMR systems accurately for documentation, orders review, and care coordination
