Ability Physical Therapy is an outpatient private practice looking for a full time Physical Therapist to join our team in the Mt Vernon clinic. We are seeking a well skilled, highly productive team player. New graduates or soon to be graduates are encouraged to apply along with others who are interested in providing top notch treatment to patients.
The mission of Ability Physical Therapy is to help people. More specifically, Ability Physical Therapy is dedicated to assisting clients in achieving their optimal physical function in home, work, and recreational settings.
Principle duties include, but are not limited to:
Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to relieve and manage pain, restore movement, and improve function and strength utilizing current techniques and equipment.
Guide patients through therapeutic stretches, exercises, and manual techniques to help recover from illnesses, injuries, or surgery.
Provide education to patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise program, and ways to sustain physical health.
Communicate clearly through documentation, verbal communication, and cooperation with physicians, other health professionals, patients, and their families.
Strive to minimize the patient’s disability and maximize their physical function.

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Iowa
