Part Time and Full Time Orthopaedic Physician Assistant Positions Available

 

Chatham Orthopaedic Associates located in beautiful historic Savannah, Georgia is recruiting orthopaedic physician assistants to work with our team of thirteen physicians and nineteen mid-level providers.  Successful candidates will have two to five years previous experience in orthopaedics.  Positions available working directly with physician teams and staffing immediate care clinic.  Weekday and weekend hours available.  Excellent compensation and benefits including health, dental, vision, long term disability and 401(k).  Submit CV or resume to hr@chathamortho.com.

Chatham Orthopaedic Associates is the oldest Savannah orthopaedic practice. Established in the 1950s, we have grown to a practice of thirteen orthopaedic doctors soon to be fifteen fall 2024.  In addition, we employ a team of highly skilled physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified medical assistants, certified orthopaedic technicians, imaging professionals and physical, occupational and certified hand therapists.

Our team of doctors utilizes the most advanced surgical techniques and rehabilitative protocols to provide patients with the finest care available to fit each patient’s unique needs, all while stressing the importance of communication and education between patient and physician.

The physicians at Chatham Orthopaedics are on staff at Candler Hospital, Memorial University Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. In addition, some physicians have staff privileges at Effingham Health Hospital and Evans Memorial Hosptial.  Learn more about us at www.chathamortho.com.



Requirements

Acts as role model and resource person for staff; assist staff in times of crisis or emergency.

Demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of patient care to patients.

Provides formal and informal education to staff.

Promotes customer relations; anticipates and responds to the needs of others; provides assistance in a quick and courteous manner; treats others with care and respect while maintaining privacy, confidentiality and dignity.

In conjunction with physicians and management, evaluates quality of care provided and recommends changes for improvement.

Assesses the physical and psychological status of patients by health history, physical examination and diagnostic studies.

Documents patient office history and physical, orders and other pertinent information in electronic medical record.

Documents admission history and physical examination as needed for hospital admissions

Educates patients and families about the disease process, treatment, symptom management and psychosocial response of diagnosis of cancer and related treatment.

Assists physician in surgical cases.

Performs injections and office procedures as ordered by physician.

Works effectively with others outside office; collaborates with other health agencies to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Maintains hospital privileges.

Maintains current knowledge of healthcare techniques and practices by participating in workshops, seminars and professional
