Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist
Description
Part-time psychotherapist position available at small, well-established cognitive-behavioral therapy clinic in NW DC specializing in the treatment of social anxiety disorder and related problems (eg. other anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship and career problems, sexual orientation and gender identity concerns). Must be licensed in DC to practice psychotherapy or professional counseling. Potential for growth to full time, if desired. Will work in person at our northwest DC office, as well as via teletherapy.
Compensation based on experience and level of licensing. Our clinic will provide Intensive training and guidance in various forms of cognitive and behavioral therapies, and in the CBT treatment of social anxiety and related problems. We will also sponsor certification in CBT by the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, if so desired.
The ideal candidate has had at least one year of clinical experience as a psychotherapist, including helping persons with anxiety disorders. The ideal candidate is also passionate about learning and practicing cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT), and has had at least basic prior training in any form of CBT (cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, etc.).
